Our Covenant

  • Love one another, seeking their highest and best good as brothers and sisters in Christ, just as Christ has loved the Church.  (Jn. 13:34-35; Rom. 12:9; 1Pet. 1:22; 1Jn. 3:11, 23; 4:7-12; cf. Lev. 19:18);

  • Appropriately honor, respect, pray for and be in Scriptural submission to the Senior Pastor and the Leadership of the ministry (Acts 12:5; 1Cor. 11:1-2; Eph. 5:18; 6:19-20;   1Thess. 5:12-13; 1Tim. 5:17; Heb. 13:7, 17);

  • Be devoted to the process of discipleship, making myself available to being developed by the Senior Pastor and authorized leaders, discovering and exercising my spiritual gifts and talents for the overall good of the ministry, and developing a servants heart.  (Matt. 20:25-28; 23:11; 28:19-20; Mk. 9:35; Rom. 12:1-8;  1Cor. 12:12-31; Eph. 4:12-16);

  • Pray consistently for one another. (Rom. 12:12; 2 Cor. 1:11; Eph. 6:18; Col. 4:2; 1Tim. 2:1-4; James 5:16);

  • Adhere faithfully to and advance the mission, vision, core values, constitution and bylaws, policies, and general program of the Church in general and specifically as relates to Worship, Christian Education, Fellowship, and Outreach (Luke 4: 18-19; Acts 1:8; 2:42-47);

  • Faithfully, consistently, and joyfully provide for the financial needs of the ministry of the Church by giving tithes and offerings unto the Lord (Exod. 29:26-28; 40:15; Lev. 5:13; 7:6-7, 9-10, 14, 31-32, 34; Num. 1:50-54; 5:9-10; 18:19, 24; Deut. 18:3-4; Mal. 3:8-12; cf. Acts 2:32-35; 1Cor. 9:8-14; 16:1-2; 2Cor. 8-9);

  • Make every effort to cultivate and maintain unity among the membership of the Church and refrain from divisive behaviors such as sowing discord among the brethren and gossiping.  (Prov. 6:19; Jn. 17:11, 21-23; Rom. 14:19; Eph. 4:1-3, 29);

  • Faithfully attend the Church and compel persons who do not know the Lord to come to enter into relationship with Him and fellow members of the Body of Christ. (Heb. 10:25; Lk. 14:23; 2Pet. 3:9);

  • Maintain a consistent testimony (both within and without the Church) that is in line with my profession of being a born-again Christian (Rom. 6:1-13, 12:1-2; 2Cor. 5:9-17; Gal. 5:16; Eph. 4:1).

Our Mission

We have a covenant obligation to God, family, and our community to demonstrate the love of Christ in action to one another and those around us as we communicate and live out the holistic and transformational message of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to create a context of worship that facili-tates an authentic encounter with God.

Our Vision

To faithfully fulfill our three-fold relationships of responsibility in Montgomery County and beyond – encouraging people to fall in love with and remain steadfastly in love with God and as a result, be demonstratively devoted to one another, especially empowering the marginalized; and when gathered together, promote experiences of worship that enable people to bask in the presence of God.
